The Quaker Valley School Board has purchased approximately 159 acres of land off of Camp Meeting Road that straddles Leet Township, and Edgeworth and Leetsdale Boroughs to be the site of a new high school campus.
In December of 2019 an evaluation team of professionals comprised of: Phillips & Associates, Inc. (PAI); Garvin, Boward Beitko Engineering, Inc. (GBBE); American Geosciences, Inc. (AGI); and Skelly and Loy, Inc. (SKI), issued a report and executive summary of the Due Diligence Evaluation (DDE) on the selected site for the new high school. The Executive Summary can be read here. The study tested and thoroughly examined all of the factors necessary to determine the buildability of the site including Property Surveying, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Wetland and Surface Water Investigations, Preliminary Geotechnical Explorations including in depth testing and evaluation of the “Redbed formation”, Grading Plan Options, Zoning, Road Access and Public Utilities.
After evaluating the information obtained from all of the Due Diligence Evaluations, the combined properties are sufficient to support the new high school campus.
